A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, TO ADOPT THE STANDARDS
ENDORSED BY THE WASHINGTON STATE BAR ASSOCIATION
FOR THE PROVISION OF PUBLIC DEFENSE SERVICES AS THE
STANDARDS FOR THE CITY OF EDMONDS.
WHEREAS, RCW 10.101.030 requires every city providing for public defense
services to adopt standards for the delivery of such services; and
WHEREAS, that statute provides that the standards endorsed by the Washington
State Bar Association for the provision of public defense services should serve as
guidelines to local legislative authorities in adopting standards;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
As standards for the provision of public defense services, the City of Edmonds
adopts by reference the Standards for Indigent Defense Services endorsed by the
Washington State Bar Association in their entirety, as they are currently drafted and as
they may be hereafter amended, as the standards for public defense services for the City
of Edmonds, as required by RCW 10.1 0 1.030.
