Resolution 1343jesoluttan No: 1343 A Resolution of the Edmonds City CouncilThanking Councilmem6er,7oan Bloom forYferService to the Edmonds City Council Whereas, ,loan Bloom was elected to the City Council in November, 2011 and sworn in on January 3, 2012. W h i l e i n o f f i c e, Ms. Bloom approached her appointment on the City Council with passion and an earnest desire to serve her constituency in an open-minded, fair manner. She took her term as a City Councilmember very seriously and came to the meetings prepared to speak on the issues that were important to her and the citizenry of Edmonds. She was an advocate of government transparency and did her utmost to make government more available to the citizens; and Whereas, while on the Council she was involved with the appointment of a number of directors and worked with one Mayor. She served on the following committees, boards, and commissions: Public Safety/Personnel, Disability, Economic Development Commission, Lodging Tax Advisory, Seashore Transportation Forum 2012, Tree Board Liaison, Port of Edmonds, Planning, Parks/Public Works, and Snohomish County Tomorrow, Alt.; and Whereas, Councilmember Bloom, worked determinedly on a number of Council matters including seeing a Resolution for a Code of Conduct come to fruition.
