19531117 City Council MinutesNovember 17; 1953 The Council met for its• regular session with Mayor McGibbon presiding.. The roll call showed the following Councilman prevent Tuson, Kincaid, Maxwell and McGinness. A letter was read from postmaster Otto Sorensen asking for permission to place•a collection box on -the Northeast corner -of ninth and Maple streets, this was made a motion by councilman McGinness and seconded by councilman maxwell. Motion carried. A motion was made by councilman Maxwell and seconded by councilman Kincaid that the hearing on assessment roll #71 be set for December 22. Motion carried. A motion was made by councilman McGinness and seconded by•councilman Maxwell that the attorney draw an amendment to the ordinance for salaries for two street employees at $280 per month, for the rest of this y"ear. -Motion-carried.
