The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Lesly Kaplan, Chair
INTRODUCTIONS — Rachel Dobbins, coordinator for Art Walk Edmonds.
MINUTES-3/5/18 minutes — Sharp Moved, Maloney Seconded, Approved.
REPORTS -
A. Creative Programs
1. Write on the Sound Update — Kaplan and Rose reviewed the confirmed presenters for WOTS (Black,
Lukas, and Castro Luna) and updated the Commission on next steps in the selection process.
Discussion followed about the weekend role for EAC, and Commissioners were encouraged to keep
the dates on their calendars.
2. Summer Concerts Selection —The final schedule was reviewed and Commissioners signed up for
hosting at the Sunday concerts. The hosting role was reviewed. A final list will be sent out.
Commissioners also indicated concerts on Thursdays at Hazel Miller Plaza that they might be able to
attend and assist with getting an audience count for those events.
3. Best Book, April 20 Reception — Sharp and Oneill will assist with exhibiting posters at FAC on April 18.
Others signed up as greeters for the April 20 reception. Dana J. Sullivan will give the presentation.

STAFF REPORT—
NEW/OTHER BUSINESS — Sharp mentioned the Urban Craft Uprising event in May at Civic Field, which fits
with the Economic Impact study recommendations to provide events which attract younger participants.
AUDIENCE COMMENTS— Rachel Dobbins provided an update on AWE projects including the murals.
