Discussion: There is a question about the Interfund Transfer of $20,093.00; also a
question arose about our bank interest, why is it distributed into the Fund 130 and
137 the way it is? Rich Lindsay will look into these questions for next board
meeting.

Staff Report
• The next Veterans Memorial Tribute will be on August 26th at 10:00
• Rich Lindsay purchased 3 six-foot plastic tables and a podium for the
cemetery at a "good price".
• Cliff reports that the Cemetery was vandalized the last 2 nights;
statues were stolen off graves and then were returned, and flowers
were moved from one grave to another. A police report was filed.
• The question of an alarm system for the Cemetery office was brought
up - this is in the works with the City; would require fiber optics to be
run to the Cemetery which would enable the Cemetery office to be on
the City's alarm system.
• The weeds on the corner of 15th and 100th were mentioned - Rich will
be hiring a late autumn seasonal worker, he is also looking for
volunteer opportunities for the weeding. A question was put forth
about changing the landscaping on that corner to make it lower
maintenance; it has to be kept low so that the sign is visible.
• The city has requested reducing the spraying of weeds.
Old Business
• Received an email from Carrie Hite regarding the question of
Edmonds residency for the Cemetery Board; she has forwarded the
question to the City attorney and will let us know when she hears
back from him.
New Business
Discussed our advertising; we will renew our Chamber of Commerce
ad as well as our Beacon and My Edmonds News.com ads as they
come up for renewal.
Discussed re -starting our program of distributing Cemetery brochures
to the churches in the area. It was decided to look at our brochures at
the September meeting and review them for changes.
We tabled the Veteran's Day Walk discussion until September due to
the absence of Dale Hoggins at the meeting today.
