Cemetery Board Meeting Minutes
OCTOBER 16, 2014

The meeting was called to order by Dale Hoggins at 4pm.

Board Membership:
We discussed the process of approving both Joan and Peggy. We are expecting all Board members to be
r? ps?nt at our Novemher meeting in order to vote and recommend them to Mayor Earling. The
Committee of the Bo& I had no objections to recommending them. Their terms would begin in January,
2015.
Staff Report -Cliff Edwards:
Cliff gave his report regarding sales and burials through October. (See attached.)
Cliff also handed out the Edmonds Memorial Cemetery Rules and Regulations. He mentioned that they
needed to be updated.
Cliff wanted to thank several people, especially Rich Lindsay, who quickly came to his aid during an
accident that occurred earlier in the month. Cliff also mentioned that he will be putting up crosses and
flags for Veteran's Day on November 7th. Peggy volunteered to help with this. Thank you, Peggy. Cliff
also briefly mentioned that there are about 650 pamphlets for the Edmonds Cemetery and
Columbarium. Rich will plan to print anew sticker which will correct the web site using this year's
budget.
Officers:
Jerry Janacek has agreed to serve as Chairperson, if elected, for 2015. Dale Hoggins will serve as Vice -
Chairman. Peggy Irwin volunteered to serve as Secretary. A vote will happen at the November meeting.
Veteran's Day:
The Board will support the Edmonds Veteran's groups for their ceremony to honor veterans on
November 11th.
Planning For 2015:
Dale mentioned that we will be considering V-J Day for next year's Memorial Day ceremonies. He will
bring some past programs to our next meeting. Memorial Day will be on May 25, 2015.
The Board meeting was adjourned at 4:50.
