Staff Report
Cliff Edwards: Sign on the corner of 15th and 100th cleaned; weeds and
plants removed from the corner around the sign for easier maintenance in
the future. Columbarium plaza area pressure washed. Discussed the
Columbarium phases and whether we should start thinking about Phase 2 at
this time.
Old Business: Discussed in ground ash burials, prompted by Susan Cyr's request
last month for the burial of her son's ashes to be touching the earth. Issue resolved
by Rich Lindsay and Cliff Edwards, rules for in ground ash burial will be reflected in
the revised Cemetery Rules and Regulations being drafted now.
Cemetery Brochures: Melissa will call American Printing and check to see how much
it will cost to get labels made that reflect the website address change.
New Business: Discussed Memorial Day event; assignments made and dates for
future meetings set for the 1st Monday of February, March, April and May at 3pm,
meeting at the Bank of Washington on the corner of Dayton and Sth
Peggy and Joan need Cemetery name badges - Jerry will follow up.
Melissa and Jerry will attend the City Council Work Meeting to represent the
Cemetery Board with Carrie Hite. At issue is the revised draft of the Edmonds City
Code Chapter 10.16 covering the Cemetery Board to be reviewed by the City
Council.
