Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 4:05 pm by Jerry Janacek

Approval of Minutes
• Minutes from September were approved.
Finance Report: attached.
Chair Report:
• Carrie Hite will beat the November meeting to discuss the $100,000
allocated for the Cemetery mapping.
• Betty Gaeng has been approved as the new Board member.
• The Board voted to approve relocating the memorial monument for veterans
to the Cemetery. Fund 130 has $145,875.63 available for such expenditures.
Motion to approve was by Peggy Irwin and was seconded by Patrick Kelly
and passed unanimously.
• A volunteer list for special events is needed and all members will seek
volunteers.
• Melissa Johnson will be updating the spreadsheet for the contacts for the
Memorial Day Ceremony.
• Some headstones are leaning and need attention.
• Marketing with be the emphasis for the July and August 2017 meetings.
• Betty Gaeng will be publishing an article on the history of the Cemetery.
• Long range planning will be the focus of the November meeting.

Staff Report from Rich:
• Quiring Monuments is preparing an estimate for tree removal at the
southeast corner.
• Numbers were in the wrong column on the June 2016 financial report and
have been corrected.
• An estimate of $3,800 was submitted to grind stumps.
Old Business:
• Old business was addressed in the Chair's report.
New Business:
• The Iraq and Afghanistan wars were unanimously chosen as the theme for
the 2017 Memorial Day Ceremony.
Announcements:
• Jerry Janacek will be the 2017 Chair with Melissa Johnson as Vice Chair, and
Peggy Irwin as Secretary.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:00 pm.
