Call to Order
Chair Jerry Janacek called the meeting to order at 4:07 pm.

Approval of Minutes
July 20, 2017 minutes were approved. Motion to approve by Joan Longstaff,
seconded by Melissa Johnson, app+roved.
Finance Report: The June report was available and is attached.
Chair Report:
• The subjects to concentrate on this Fall are expansion of the Columbarium,
the Memorial Monument for Veterans placement and the mapping project.
• Jerry updated the timeline document for the Cemetery.
Staff Report:
• Sexton's report was available and is attached.

Old Business:
• Discussion was held and Walk Back in Time to be held next year on a
Saturday so more people can attend. Joan moved, Kelly Sawyer seconded the
motion and it was approved.
New Business:
• October 19th at 1:30 pm-2:30 pm, Jerry and Betty will be at Edmonds Landing
to discuss the history of Edmonds.
• The Cemetery ad will be in the program for the Edmonds-Woodway High
School Football season again this year.
• Kelly suggested that the land along 9th Avenue could be adopted as other
corner lots in the program. Rich will be contacted regarding this suggestion.
• There's a gap in the fence around the Columbarium and it was suggested that
the fencing project be moved up as a priority due to liability issues. Rich will
be contacted.
