Call to Order
Chair Jerry Janacek called the meeting to order at 4:02 pm.

Approval of Minutes
• September 21, 2017 minutes were approved. Motion to approve by Melissa
Johnson, seconded by Peggy Irwin, approved.
Finance Report: The August report was available and is attached.
Chair Report:
Jerry and Betty gave a presentation at Edmonds Landing today regarding
Edmonds history. It was well received.
Patrick Kelly is resigning from the Board in November after 10 years on the
Board.
Staff Report:
• Sexton's report was available and is attached.
• On October 5, Town & Country completed the fencing project.
• The Memorial Monument area has been prepped and the pad will be poured
in approximately two weeks.
• The granite bench being generously donated by Carolyn Henry has been
approved by the Board.
• Phase 2 of the Columbarium is under consultation.

Old Business:
• The dedication for the Memorial Monument will be at the Memorial Day
Ceremony in 2018. Betty Gaeng will give a short presentation at that time.
New Business:
• Bench donation should be covered by the Media.
• Professional Services for the Columbarium expansion of Phase 2 can be paid
for by the Cemetery Fund 130.
• Rich is going to research the interest on the fund.
• Next month officers will be elected. We need at least one new board
member.
