Call to Order
Vice Chair Betty Gaeng called the meeting to order at 2:50 pm.

Approval of Minutes
• June 21st, 2018 minutes were approved. Motion to approve by Betty, seconded
by Joan, approved.
Finance Report: The May and June reports were reviewed by the Board and are
attached.
Chair Report:
• New Board Member Tracy Little was welcomed to the board.
' We will distribute copies of Board functions to all members at next meeting in
August.
• Carolyn would like to acknowledge and thank Cliff Edwards for his work on the
cemetery grounds for Memorial Day and the Walk Back in Time.
Staff Report: Rich asked that board members use the City site for Board related emails.
Rich brought up the need for the Board to act together when making decisions regarding
spending money.

Old Business:
Discussed the bench that Carolyn Henry would like installed up at the columbarium.
Logistically the bench would not be able to be placed where Carolyn would like it. She
withdrew her offer to place a bench.
New Business:
• The question was raised as to whether we should continue to send out our
Satisfaction Survey. We will discuss further at the August Board meeting.
• Discussed when we last raised our cemetery rates, Rich will look into and we will
discuss further in August.
• Discussion about our WBinT - about 55 people were in attendance. Board
members agreed that it went smoothly and flowed well. Presenting 5 historical
figures was a good number for the Walk. We heard positive comments from many
of the attendees. It was noted by Betty that we received excellent advertising for
the Walk in both the Beacon and My Edmonds News.
• Start discussion next month about our focus for both Memorial Day and the
WBinT for 2019.
Announcements:
• Melissa arranged for Kathy Hashbarger with My Edmonds News to come to the
August Board meeting to present advertising the Cemetery on their site. It was
agreed by the Board that an online advertising presence was important.

Thursday, August 16th at 4 pm, at Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main Street.
