Call to Order
Chair Jerry Janacek called the meeting to order at 4:03 pm.

Approval of Minutes
• February board meeting minutes approved (Joan/Tracy)
Finance Report:
• Reviewed financial reports from November, December 2018 as well as January
2019.
Chair Report:
Discussed ways to recruit new board members. As of April we will have 3 seats to
fill. We will announce vacancies at the Memorial Day program in May.
Jerry will coordinate the implementing of our revised Satisfaction Survey.
Staff Report:
• Cliff has new phone hookup through Comcast and is now on the City phone
system.
• Rich is reviewing applications for seasonal labor for the cemetery and would like
to start hiring in mid April.
• The Rotary Daybreakers will be painting the Columbarium railings as a volunteer
job on September 14th.
• There is no Sales and Services report this cycle due to Cliff being out sick. Will
include March and April in next months meeting minutes.

Old Business:
• Memorial Day - discussions and planning continues; Joan thinks Olivia Olson may
be available to give a speech on our theme this year, POW -MIA. Joan will follow
up.
• Next planning meeting on Monday April 1st, 3pm, Bank of WA. Melissa will send
out a reminder email.
• Walk Back in Time planning continues.
• Advertising budget for Cemetery is $1800.00. Suggestion to revisit advertising
with My Edmonds News.com.
New Business:
• Carrie Hite gave a presentation updating the Board on the Cemetery Mapping
Project.
A. History of the Project.
B. Overview of Pontem Software System - loading the old and new database into the
system.
C. Working on some glitches in the systems making them more compatible.
D. Sue Babcock was hired to help Cliff input data and micro -fixes.
E. Dave is dealing with macro -fixes.
F. Walked us through the Cemetery website and grave searches.
Announcements:
There will a reception for Betty Gaeng on Saturday March 23rd at the Lynnwood-
Alderwood Manor Heritage Association beginning at 11:30am.
