Subcommittee & Member Reports
1. Success story group — Hank, Cynthia & Jim. Plan to go out and start interviewing success stories.
They asked the group for input about whom to interview. Recommendations were: Carolyn
Chapel, the Freemans, Rick Steves, and Cheesemonger Table. Anyone who would like to go for a
ride -along is invited to join them. Contact one of the three if you are interested. Their goal is to
ask positive questions; 1) what have you done 2) what's been successful. They would also like to
get some students involved in the interview process. Art Recommended the group contact
Edmonds Community College.
2. Val Stewart briefly discussed SustainableWorks. They are currently working on preliminary
training and getting out to the schools. She would like to know if the group wants her to move
forward. She will either send out an email to get a consensus, or she will ask to have it added to
the February meeting agenda. Also, would the group like a presentation from them?
