CALL TO ORDER
Chair Scott McEwen called the meeting to order at 7:03 pm.
MINUTES
Commissioner Mike Fields made a motion to approve the April 26, 2015 and June 3, 2015 meeting minutes.
Chair H. Scott McEwen second the motion. The motion carried.

POLICE BUSINESS
Review and Approval of Entry Level and Lateral Level Police Officer Eligibility List
Assistant Chief of Police (ACOP) Don Anderson stated that there were oral boards on 8/18/15 and 8/19/15, which
resulted in these eligibility lists. Chair McEwen inquired as to how many current vacancies [for commissioned officers]
there were. ACOP Anderson stated that he believed there were 3 vacancies with one entry level candidate in the
background check process. Commissioner Fields inquired as to where Edmonds was getting lateral level applicants
from. ACOP Anderson explained that it was a mix; some were in state and some were from out of state. Commissioner
Fields further inquired as to whether or not Edmonds' would travel (out-of-state) to perform background checks. ACOP
Anderson confirmed that Edmonds does.
Chair McEwen made a motion to approve the Entry Level Police Officer Eligibility List and the Lateral Level
Police Officer Eligibility List dated 9/9/15. Chair Fields seconded the motion. The motion carried.

OTHER
Secretary/Chief Examiner Mary Ann Hardie explained that earlier in the year, there had been some discussion about
revising the Civil Service Rules and Regulations. Ms. Hardie further explained that, due to the extensive work involved
in this process, it may not be brought forward until next year (2016) and that the Commission would be kept apprised
of this.
