responded to questions regarding Seattle PD's testing/hiring process, Edmonds' compensation and benefits compared to
Seattle PD, benefits of hiring a lateral candidate versus an entry level, and current openings.
Commissioner Fields moved to approve both the Entry Level and Lateral Level Police Eligibility List.
Commissioner McEwen seconded the motion. The motion carried.
POLICE BUSINESS
Ms. Hardie relayed updating the Civil Service Rules and Regulations appears to be more involved than originally
anticipated. For that reason and due to other upcoming HR and Police Department issues, the update may need to be
delayed until next year. ACOP Anderson described the department's efforts related to updating the Emergency
Operations Center (EOC) including plans to participate in next month's multi -state emergency/disaster drill, Cascadia
Rising. Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management is assisting with updating the EOC manual.
