1. Roll Call: Call to order at 12 p.m.

2. Approval of Agenda: The agenda was approved by consensus
Public Comment: No comment
4. Consideration and potential reappointment of Commissioners Basioli, Dorame, and
Montalvo: The terms of Commissioners Dorame, Montalvo, and Basioli are expiring at the
end of 2016 and the special meeting today is convened to consider reappointment requests
from these commissioners to new 3-year terms. Commissioner Dorame was approved for
reappointment by a consensus of Commissioners present. Commissioner Montalvo was
approved for reappointment by a consensus of Commissioners present. After deliberation, the
Commissioners present did not reach consensus to approve confirmation of Commissioner
Basioli. Reappointments of Commissioners Dorame and Montalvo will be presented to City
Council at their January 3, 2017 meeting for confirmation. Staff will prepare an
advertisement for applications for the vacant commission seat as soon as possible. The prior
applicants for the latest vacant commission seat will also be contacted and will be allowed to
submit their application for consideration.
Mario encouraged attendance at meetings and events that are held by the commission. At the
first meeting of 2017 there will be a discussion of by-laws regarding attendance. Budget for
2017 will also be discussed for events that will be held in 2017.
