2018-10-25 Edmonds Downtown Alliance (BID) MinutesEdmonds • Downtown ALLIANCE October 25, 2018 8:02 AM - 9:24 AM Edmonds Center for the Arts Meeting called to order at 8:02 am Board Members/Administration in attendance: Apple Catha, Kiersten Christensen, Carrie Hulbert, Matt McCulloch, Jenny Shore, Mary Kay Sneeringer, James Spangler, Mark VonGunten City of Edmonds representatives in attendance: Cindi Cruz Ed! Members/Guests: Jill Owen (Zinc) Public Comment: None President's Report: Approval of previous meeting minutes: Kiersten moved to approve the meeting minutes of 10/11/18, Apple seconded. All approved, none opposed. There will only be one meeting per month in November (November 8t")and December (December 13t"). Kiersten and Carrie presented a revised 2019 Budget/Workplan. After review and discussion Apple moved to approve the plan as presented and Mark seconded. All approved, none opposed. Treasurer's Report: Assessments collected so far this year are $69,693.86, which is on schedule compared to previous years. New Businesses added to the BID: None City Update: 1. The first movie of the Diversity Film Series drew 75 people, which was not a bad turnout. 2. The Holiday market is set to start November 10th, continuing into December for 6 Saturdays. 40 vendors have signed up so far. 3. The City presented its budget to the City Council. Committee Updates: 1. Marketing: Everything is gearing up for the Holiday season. The street banner announcing holiday events is being designed. There will only be one trolley running during the Holiday season this year. A Halloween article is running one the Ed! website, and a "Cozy" article is coming up next. 2. Appearance & Environment: The signage has been completed in the US Bank parking lots. James is working on the sidewalk "rainworks" signs using the "Love, Edmonds" logo. 3. Communication and Outreach: Mary Kay talked to Nikki Dickerson of First Financial who will try to get everyone from Salish Crossing together for a meeting where Mary Kay and James can present the BID expansion program. 4. Grant Program: The Edmonds Mural Society will present a request in 2019 for a $3,000 grant. 5. Administration: No update. New Business: None.
