2. Public Comment - none
Budget 2019: Patrick discussed revenue projections as compared to last year. General consensus
was to leave projection as is. Reviewed budget spreadsheet for 2018 and projections for year-
end expenditure estimates for 2018 and 2019. If 2019 revenue is higher than anticipated and
the LTAC wants to recommend additional 2019 expenditures, this can be done through the
Quarterly Budget Amendment process. Discussion followed about printing and distribution of
rack brochures with agreement to budget the same for 2019 but reconsider print options of
brochure for change in 2020. Contingency for 2019 was left at 0 and $1,000 in miscellaneous.
Funding Requests for 2019 were reviewed. See general tourism promotion requests on attached
document for request and recommended award. It is noted the recommended funding of
$13,000 for the ECA includes the two -page ad in the season brochure that the City creates for
promotion of Edmonds and annual events which is distributed to 40,000+ of their mailing list.
Joe moved, Frances seconded to approve 2019 budget and forward to City Council in the 2019
budget process motion was approved unanimously.

by the City of Edmonds Arts Commission on attachment. Joe moved, Pat seconded for approval
of tourism promotion awards in 123 fund allocations and forward to City Council in the 2019

carryforward funds of $412 in 2018, motion was approved unanimously.
4. Update on City Tourism Promotion Activities: Patrick updated the LTAC going over the report
provided by Ellen Hiatt on 2nd quarter tourism reports. He explained there has been more
cooperative tourism advertising with Ed!. Mike Rosen, recently retired from the marketing and
public relations industry will be working with Ellen on tourism promotion and bringing major
participants in Edmonds together regarding new promotions. This will be happening over the
next 4 months with a focus on cross -promoting Edmonds and all entities in collaboration.
Carolyn spoke to the events and encouraged coordination between entities in Edmonds. Puget
Sound E launched new boat this year and predicts this will bring in 20,000+ to Edmonds this
year. Patrick has met with Dema and Ed! to determine how they can all work together with
promotions.
