Treasurer's Report No Action
Correspondence Yoshi announced the personnel change with Mr. Okamoto and he may
be transferred to another place. New contact is Ryosuke Nagasaki. Mr.
Okamoto asked to send letter from them to us approving adult
delegation to Japan next year. Mayor Negita will be in office for
another four years. Congratulations letter to be sent to Mayor Negita.
Possible adult delegation for fall 2012 proposed.
Old Business Saturday Market: hearing from Neil Landaas for the existence of a booth.
We are seventh on the list. The museum people and a group of
volunteers are in charge of the market. Margaret Wilcox is contact.
May 5th is Saturday Market kick-off.
Mariners' Game: Online tickets minimum is 100 tickets. Can use for
students. Possibly support by Facebook. Invite FOESCC, volunteers, etc.
Game day is August 14tn
Jill sent email to parents and orientation is on July 25th. First
orientation is just information. Need to get necessary documents.
Rules are needed toward the end of the meetings. Michelle will make
guidelines. Host family meeting will be in Room 206 at 7:00-8:30pm.
Business cards were donated by Jill. No update yet on website.
Lindsay Donahue (AET/Hekinan) was asked for permission link to her
blogs on our Page, but no response yet.
Requesting local artists' permission to feature their work on our Page.
Outreach: Stacy Jelik of Seattle -Kobe SSA. Plan to attend events and
network. Susie Beresford from Edmonds KOMO for Twitter.
New Business There is a possibility of 2012 adult delegation but it is not confirmed.
Thank you card sent to Mr. Okamoto. Volunteers found for
Meadowdale and Kamiak schools. Discussion of updating Parent
Consent Form. Itinerary still being developed. Need six more host
families. Four families are already hosting. Beth will give more info
next month re delegation gifts.
Requested invitation for adult delegation to go to Hekinan next spring.
Adult delegation possible if they can send an adult citizen delegation in
October of this year for their volunteers. Going to do a counter-
proposal before we want to host this fall instead of coming next year.
Unanimous vote appointing Kody as Treasurer for ESCC.

Code for Commissioner Attendance
Commissioners are required to attend at least 70% of the meetings in a calendar year and cannot miss
more than three (3) consecutive meetings.
Absences are excused for any of the following reasons:
• Business or employment reasons
• Extended vacations of longer than two weeks
• Illness or death in the immediate family
(Though not stated in the Edmonds Municipal Code, it is assumed that illness of a Commissioner is also
and excused absence.)
If a Commissioner does not have regular attendance, the Mayor's Office will send a letter to the
Commissioner advising them that the position needs to be vacated.
