Continuing Business:
• Day Trip Review: We went through the itinerary and discussed what worked and didn't work.
We will consider the input when we do the itinerary for next year. Some ideas discussed were
dropping the Boeing Museum of Flight and adding in a Funko Tour. We also discussed spending
an afternoon in downtown Edmonds so the students have some exploration time on their own.
Another point was to include the Seattle Day on the same day as the Mariners. Possibly adding a
visit to the KING 5 program, Northwest Today.
• Thank your: Carolyn made a list and we divided it up to write and mail personalized thank yous
for the student visit. Carolyn will send letters to businesses that contributed items for goodie
bags.
New Business:
• Newsletter: Patrick will have a draft of the newsletter to be approved and finalized for
publishing the middle of September. We discussed content.
• Commissioner recruitment: Will save until next month.
