MINUTES
August 1, 2013
The Edmonds Citizens' Tree Board Meeting was called to order at 6:10pm by Susan Paine in the Brackett Room,
3 Floor City Hall, 121 5th Avenue North, Edmonds, WA.
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT:
Steve Hatzenbeler
Darcy McPherson
Roy Smith
Anna Heckman
Susan Paine
John Botton
Joan Bloom —City Council member
BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT:
Rick Zitzmann - excused
1. ROLL CALL:
STAFF PRESENT:
Rich Lindsay - Edmonds Parks Dept.
Susan Paine called the meeting to order all Board members were present with the exception of Rick
Zitzmann.
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA:
Board Member Heckman motioned for the agenda as submitted; Seconded by Board Member Smith;
motion carried unanimously.
3. APPROVAL OF TREE BOARD MINUTES:
Boardmember Hatzenbeler motioned to have the minutes for July moved to the September meeting.
Boardmember Heckman seconded, the motion carried unanimously.
4. AUDIENCE COMMENTS: NONE
5. DISCUSSION:
a. Definitions review
b. Hekinan Oak update — USDA requirements
c. iTree Mapping update — Forterra has an assistance program/grant opportunity. Anna Heckman
to follow up.
6. NEW BUSINESS:
a. Heritage Tree resolution - draft language was sent around, more discussion next meeting
7. ADJOURN:
With no further business, the Edmonds Citizens' Tree Board adjourned at 7:45 pm
