March meeting minutes were distributed March 29 to the group for review. Please review prior to
the meeting.
6) Old Business/Discussion - (60 minutes)
--Goals for 2015, including:
Heritage Tree Program —Rick update
Outreach and Education: Arbor Day event (spring or fall); Edmonds summer market table.
--Tree Board staff support from City of Edmonds: discussion updates from Steve and Joan.
--Marina Beach PAC: Ron attended PAC meeting March 20. Report?
7) New Business (30 minutes)
--Arbor Day observance and proclamation —we have been discussing a tree planting event with
Dawna Lahti at College Place Elementary School. Dawna may attend the meeting to update us on
progress.
--Council presentation: April 14, 2015 at 7:00 pm. 10-12 minutes. Brainstorm discussion topics.
--Street Tree Plan update (Kernen Lien update)
--Moratorium against street tree removal downtown (Kernen Lien background info; more
discussion to follow at the May 7, 2015 Tree Board meeting)
--Board member resignations: Barbara Harrell and Darcy MacPherson have resigned. City has
advertised for new TB members. Application period will be open until April 28. Please encourage
people you think would be good contributors.
