January meeting notes were distributed via email. Please bring corrections/comments.
6) Old Business/Discussion (60 minutes)
• 2016 events calendar. At a minimum, I would like this discussion to include:
1) Select a specific # of events we are going to host (we could potentially add others as time permits, or if
something interesting comes up, but these will be our "Core" Events for 2016);
2) Tree Board Chairperson for each Core Event;
3) Event budget;
4) Date (at least what month/season);
5) Potential partnering agencies.
• Select dates for Tree Board contract consultant to attend our monthly meetings. We limited the scope to include
attendance at 3 meetings so I would like to get those on the consultant's calendar ASAP.
7) New Business (30 minutes)
• Barbara and Jed: Collaboration w/ Climate Protection Committee. Please provide a brief report on the 2/4/16 CPC
meeting, and discuss of what types of partnering may be desirable/possible in the future.
• Tree Board City Council presentation, probably in March but I haven't confirmed a date with the Council president
yet. Discuss presentation topics. We will have approximately 12 — 15 minutes for the presentation, followed by
Q&A. I have thought of 6 topics so far that I'm planning to include, and would like input from others regarding what
you think is important to cover.
