6) Old Business/Discussion
• Tree Board University. We can pursue a Tree City USA Growth Award if we all enroll and go through the online
program. I strongly encourage all Tree Board members to do so.
• EPA Water Quality Scorecard — there are some policies relating to tree preservation that may be useful for us.
Update from Jed's research.
• Reminder: please submit receipts for expense reimbursements for the Cass Turnbull presentation. Steve will
contact the City to confirm who they are to be routed to.
7) New Business
• Arbor Day planting event planning. It's only a bit over 4 months until our Arbor Day planting event in the open
space at 86t" Place W and Main St. We need to start to figure out budget, who we will invite, what groups to
partner with, logistics, etc.
• Tree Board note -taker: Barbara Chase would appreciate if the duty of note -taker could be passed around rather
than falling on her every month. Who is willing to alternate? It would be nice if we could each take a turn so
nobody feels too burdened.
8) Presentation: City Attorney Jeff Taraday will be covering, at a minimum, our obligations regarding the Open Public
Meetings Act and Public Records Act. If you have other questions for the City Attorney, please route them to me in
advance of the meeting so I can get them to Jeff.
