Julia Munger introduction and discussion about lessons learned in 2015 and what her role will be with the Tree Board
the next few months.

August meeting notes were distributed via email. Please bring corrections/comments.
6) Old Business/Discussion
• Arbor Day Celebration and planting event planning. It's only a bit over 1 month until our Arbor Day Celebration
and planting event in the open space at 86t" Place W and Main St. We need to review logistics, etc.
Review the Tree Board's obligations for the event.
Who will volunteer to make a poster/flyer for the event? Also we were requested to provide text and photos for the
upcoming Facebook posts.
• Tree Board University. Any progress?
• Table at Edmonds Summer Market. If we're going to do this, we need to get a date on the calendar ASAP.
Options are as follows:
1) Available 9/17, 9/24, or 10/1 (final day of the market), and free of charge, we could have a small area for a card
table and a couple chairs, maybe a small umbrella, but not a big table or pop-up canopy.
2) Available 9/24 or 10/1, for a $25 charge, we could have a 10'x10' space where could have a couple tables and
a pop-up tent.
I think we'd be fine with a small space, and it's free, which is nice. I'm not available 9/17, but the other dates I
think could work for me. We need to get at least 6 people committed to this so nobody has to stay the entire day.
• Sewer replacement at 61" and Dayton, we received some feedback from Public Works Director Phil Williams. Any
follow-up questions for Edmonds Public Works?
7) New Business
• Vivian and Bill intro. Please tell us more about your background, your interests, and why you decided to join the
Tree Board. We will share some general info about the Tree Board's goals, mission, etc. Any questions for us?
• Updated website content per edits from Shane Hope and Diane Buckshnis.
