AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS.
WASHINGTON AMENDING THE CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE
PLAN MAP BY TI{E ADOPTION OF A NEW UPDATED
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN MAP IN PARCEL SPECIFIC
FORMAT AND SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATING CERTAIN
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROPERTIES AS 'SCHOOLS
RATHER THAN GENERAL "PUBLIC" LAND USES. AND
FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE
WHEREAS. the Crty Councrl has recerved the Plannmg Board's recommendahon
that the Comprehenslve Plan Map be amended by the adopton of a new Comprehensrve Plar
Map utllzmg a parcel specrfic format and deslgnatmg school propefiles specrficallv as schools
rather than as general "pubhc" land uses, and
WHEREAS, the Edmonds Crty Councrl held a pubhc heanng on sard
lecommendahon on November 18, 2003, and
WHEREAS, the Clt] Councrl finds that the amendments are m the publlc mterest
and sahsfy the c tena estabhshed for such changes by the Edmonds Communlty Development
Code. NOW. THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS. WASHINGTON. DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS
Sectron 1 The Edmonds Comprehenslve Plan 1s hereby adopted by the repeal of
the exlstmg Comprehensrve Plan Map and tle re-adophon of a new Comprehensrve PIan Map
