Call to Order
Acting chair Melissa Johnson called the meeting to order at 3:15 pm.

Approval of Minutes: Due to lack of a quorum, approval of the May and June meeting minutes will be
considered at our next meeting.
Chair Report:
• As Jerry was not in attendance there was no chair report.
Financial Reports:
• There were no financial reports available for review.
Staff Report:
• As Rich was not in attendance there was no admin report. He is working on the budget.
Old Business:
• Walk Back in Time. We met just after the event concluded and all present felt it was a success.
The weather was perfect. We think we had about 50-60 attendees. At three gravesites, we had
family members as well as a board member — Bob Anderson's daughter, Ed Aliverti's daughter,
and Bill Hamilton's wife.
We discussed ideas for next year. If we select teachers again we will need to be sure to change
the date to the fourth Thursday in all the media outlets. We believe that having five sites is the
right number. Any more would make it more than an hour, which we feel is ideal. Even so, this
year it probably went an hour and a half. We had a microphone this year for the introduction
and felt that was a good idea. We had placed balloons at the gravesites to make them easier to
find, but Cliff informed us that is not allowed. We provided shade and one chair at each grave
site, but think that next year we'll want more chairs.
• Surveys. Carrie Haslam has been sending out surveys (paper and on-line) a month or so after a
purchase. All feedback has been very positive.
• Board Members. Our outreach for new board members is paying off. We have had several
replies. Melissa is following up with them.
New Business:
• Advertising
• Succession plan for Cliff
• Selection team for new Parks and Rec director
We will table discussion of these items until our August meeting.
