Meeting called to order at 8:00 am
Board Members/Administration in attendance: Kiersten Christensen, Carrie Hulbert, Matt McCulloch,
Petra Rousu, Carol Sheldon, Jenny Shore
City of Edmonds representatives in attendance: Cindi Cruz, Patrick Doherty
Ed! Members/Guests: Pam Stuller (Walnut Street Coffee), Suzi Foster (Zinc)
Public Comment: None
Approval of previous meeting's minutes: Matt moved to approve the meeting minutes of March 28,
2019. Petra seconded. All approved, none opposed.
President's Report: None.
Treasurer's Report: None
New Businesses added to the BID: Zephyr Counseling, Kelnero, The Dawson Group CPAs, Lotus
Wellness, Blue Harbor Counseling, Maize and Barley restaurant. Glazed and Amazed has a new owner,
as does Aural Care (was Advanced Hearing). Gravity Lounge expanded and Pacific Flower Farms has a
new name.
City Update:
• Patrick handed out copies of "8 Secrets from a Secret Shopper" from the Main Street
Conference.
• He is also still trying to reach the City of Auburn to discuss how they handle delinquent
members.
• The Diversity Commission had their retreat last night, and there are still $500 grants available. A
Storytelling project is currently in the works.
• The Creative District Committee will meet this afternoon.
Committee Updates:
• Marketing: The family business article is doing well.
• Appearance & Environment: Carrie and Pam visited Coastal Community Bank and met with the
branch manager about after-hours parking. The meeting went very well. They tried to meet with
the Bank of America again but no one was available. They will also be e-mailing the Hotel Group to
arrange a meeting regarding parking, and the former Bank of Washington (now Sound Credit)
updated their signage and included the after-hours parking info on the new signs.
• Communication and Outreach: Carrie asked that board members be at Calypso at 6:15 for the
annual meeting on the 17tn
• Grant Program: No update.
• Administration: It was discussed if Carrie should attend the DEMA meetings on the first Friday
of each month.
Meeting adjourned at 9:30 a.m. Next Board meeting April 25th at 8:00 a.m. at the ECA.
