Meeting called to order at 8:03 AM
Board Members/Administration in attendance: Matt McCulloch, Apple Catha, Jenny Shore, Carol
Sheldon, Mark VonGunten
City of Edmonds representatives in attendance: Cindy Cruz, Patrick Doherty
Ed! Members/Guests: MaryKay Sneering, (Edmonds Bookshop), Erica Sugg, (Membership Engagement,
Chamber of Commerce)
Public Comment: Erica Sugg of the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce reported that the Taste Edmonds
is focusing on helping school groups fulfil their fundraising goals, food trucks instead of tent vendors this
year. Their will be on $5 charge to get into all the activities. They are also focusing on letting everyone
know that it's a fundraiser. MaryKay reported on Where's Waldo for 2019. 2,200 Passports were passed
out, 482 found 25 stores, 144 went to all. Another very successful year for the Where's Waldo program.
Approval of previous meeting's minutes: Jenny moved to approve the meeting minutes of July 11,
2019. Mark seconded. All approved, none opposed.
President's Report: It's time to work on the Budget and Work plan, committees need to hold meetings
for plans and cost. Also, board recruiting for next year.
Treasurer's Report: No report. There will be a shortfall next year if spending stays the same.
New Business added to the BID: Ombu is in their new location, Sage Advisors.
Other Business
City Update:
• Trolley- first day success, it will run the 5 Saturdays of August.
• Downtown parking meeting tonight, decide the scope of the study.
• Diversity Commission- continuing to discuss "decal" idea.
• New video clips coming out, focus is on Artistic vent in Edmonds.
• Ferry line advertising could be coming soon.
Committee Updates:
0 Marketing: Potential to have a Holiday is back on. Meeting next week.
• Appearance and Environment: Bank of America signed up for after hours parking. Parking map
is out.
• Communication and Outreach: Working on work plan for next year, outreach to delinquent
businesses.
• Grant Program: no new.
• Administration: no new.
