2019-11-14 Edmonds Downtown Alliance MinutesEdmonds Downtown A L_IAN�.E Meeting called to order at 8:05 AM November 14, 2019 8:05 AM — 9:12 AM Edmonds Center for the Arts Board Members/Administration in attendance: Matt McCulloch, Jenny Shore, Carol Sheldon, Mark VonGunten, Pam Stuller, Cheryl Farrish, Tracey Strom, and Carrie Hulbert. City of Edmonds representatives in attendance: Cindy Cruz and Patrick Doherty. Ed! Members/ Guests: Erica Sugg, (Edmonds Chamber of Commerce) and Kali Kelnero (Kelnero) Public Comment: Erica Sugg of the Chamber of Commerce spoke about the upcoming Tree Lighting Ceremony to be held the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Ed! is a sponsor. Approval of Previous Meeting's Minutes: Pam moved to approve the meeting minutes of October 10, 2019. Jenny seconded. All approved, Cheryl abstained, none opposed. President's Report: Matt is going to the City Council meeting on Tuesday, November to present our 2020 work plan. All are welcome to attend. Treasurers Report: no report. New Businesses added to the BID: Behavior Intervention Technology Systems LLC, San Kai, LLC, Montey Owens, MN PMHNP, and Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp. Other Business City Update: • Ed! Budget will be officially in the City Budget, item #113. • The Wayfinding signs and Trolley purchase are included in the proposed City budget. • Edmonds voted in a new Mayor and will have 4 new Council members • Creative District is moving ahead, working on logo development and category development that will engage the whole community • Diversity Committee is presenting movies at the Edmonds Theater • A logo is being developed for "All are Welcome" in Edmonds to be given out at City Hall • Caroling Contest is on Dec. 51n Committee Updates: • Marketing: Trolley is ready to go for the holiday season. Salish Crossing is contributing $1,000 to participate. Edmonds Holidays website is up. Holiday Gift Guide will have 20 businesses in it. Committee will be meeting with Puget Sound Express for combined advertising/collaboration. Port has Open House on December 11, Puget Sound Express will also participate. • Appearance and Environment: We are getting a quote from another umbrella vendor, considering going with a local vendor, we want to be sure the quality and style is the same as what we have now. Patrick commented about presenting the Parking Survey to City Council. The new creative crosswalk on 2nd and Dayton is in. Pam will be meeting with the City to discuss more of the creative crosswalks. • Communication and Outreach: Puget Sound Express is willing to host Annual meeting on their boat. Discussion was held. • Grant Program: no new. • Administration: Reviewed slideshow presentation to be shown to the City Council Meeting adjourned: 9:12 AM
