AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN RP]AL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF EDMONDS
UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF 1945, CHAPTER 128, R. C. W. SEC.
35, ?,3. 130, 35. 13. 140 and 35. 13. 150, AND COMPLYING, WITH THE: PROCEDURE
THEREIN SET FORTH.
T FIE CITY COUNCIL OF TIIE CITY OF EDMONDS DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That there has been filed with the City Council a petition in writ-
ing signed by the owners of more than 750/6 of the assessed value of property according
to the assessed valuation of the real property described in said. petition; that said pe-
tition sets forth a legal description of said real property; that said petition was ac-
companied by a plat or drawing outlining the boundaries of property sought to be annexed.
Section 2. That 'Tuesday, June 20th, 1961, was set as a date for a public
hearing on said petition; that notice of such hearing has been publi-AFied in the Edmonds
Tribune Review, a newspaper of general circulation ih the City of Edmonds; that notice
of such hearing was also posted in three public places within the territory proposed for
annexation; that said notices specified the time and place of such hearing and invited
interested persons to appear and voice approval or disapproval of the annexation; that
the expense of publishing and posting of notices, and all other expense of this annexa-
tion, is to be borne by the signers of the petition; that said hearing was recessed to
the 27th day of June, 1961.
Section 3. That the following described property, located in the County of
Snohomish, State of Washington, to -wit:
Beginning at a point on the City Limits �.f Edmonds wt the intersection of the west
line of Primary Stake Highway No. 1 and the north Line of 224th St. S.W.; thence
easi to the in' ersection of the easterly Hne of prima ry State Highway No. 1 with
the north line of 224th St. S.W.;-thence east along the north line of 224th Street
S.W, to the west line of the Pacific Northwest Traction Company R/G4; thence southerly
along said west line of the Pacific Northwest Traction Company R / W to the north line

EWM, said line being the City Limits of Mountlake'ferrace under 0%dinance No. 234,
thence west along said city limits to the northwest corner of aforesaid southeast quarter
of southwest quarter of soutliwes.t quarter of section 29; thenor south along the city
limits line of. Mountlake 'Terrace and said [Lie extended to tht south marlin of 228th
Street S.W.; thence cast along said south margin to an intersection with a Lune 1Gi/2
feet westerly of and parallel to the centerline of Pacific Northwest Traction Company
R/W; thence southerly along said parallel line to the intersection of a line 120 feet
northerly and parallel to the south line of Government Lot 5, Section 32; thence east
along said parallel line and line extended to the easterly m,�rgin of the shorelands

Section 4. That pursaant to the terms of the annexation petition, the owners
of all property within the area annexed hereby are, individually and severally, to be
assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as other property in said
City of Edmonds to pay for any now outstanding indebtedness of said City, contracted
prior to, or existing at, the date of annexation.

five days after its passagE, and publication according to law.
