A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, NOTING RECEIPT OF AN
APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF A RATE SCHEDULE
ARISING FROM FORM 1200 FROM THE CITY' S
FRANCHISEE EDMONDS CABLE COMPANY ON JUNE 15,
1994 EXTENDING TIME FOR REVIEW BY 90 DAYS AND
SETTING A HEARING DATE.
WHEREAS, FCC regulation and City Ordinance require the City to reach a
decision within thirty (30) days or extend an additional ninety (90) days for hearing, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the public interest to provide for
notification, comment and hearing as provided in City ordinance prior to a public hearing
regarding the recently filed Form 1200 regarding the proposed rates, and
WHEREAS, there appear to be misstatements contained in the prior submittal of
Form 393 by the franchisee on March 15, 1994, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Edmonds hereby determines that it
shall require additional time to make its rate decision and elects an additional ninety (90) days
in which to review the rate proposal incorporated in Form 1200 and Form 393 of Edmonds
Cable Company, based upon FCC benchmark regulations.

Section 2. The City Council establishes septenber 20 , 1994 at 7:00
p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard as the hearing date on the proposed rate
increases shown on Form 393 and Form 1200. Pursuant to Edmonds City Code notice of the
hearing shall be published by the City Clerk in the City's official newspaper at least twenty (20)
days prior to the hearing. Any interested party may file a written objection to the proposed rates
by providing such written objections to the Office of the City Clerk ten (10) calendar days prior
to the hearing date set.
Section 3. The City Council reserves to itself the right to direct refunds as may
be appropriate retroactive to the date the City was certified for rate regulation and the right to
review any and all future rate adjustments from the Form 393 presented to the City with respect
to regulated rate categories.
Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to provide a copy of this resolution
to Edmonds Cable Company and Chambers Cable, its parent corporation.
