A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Edmonds fixing the
time for hearing a petition for the vacation of a portion of Sprague Street
lying between Lots 35, 36, 37 and 38 in Block 81 and Lots 1, 2, 3 and.} of
Block 80 in the City of Edmonds and directing the Clerk to post notice of
such hearing at least twenty (20) days before said hearing and nct more than
sixty (60) days after the passage of said resolution.
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds is desirous of obtaining a right-of-way
over and across Lots 35, 36, 37 and 38 of Block 81 of the City of Edmonds, and
AREAS the same is owned by the petitioners Gunnard Swanson and
Gertrude Swanson, his wife, and
WHEREAS the said petitioners are the owners of all of the property
located adjacent to that portion of Sprague Street petitioned to be vacated, and
WHEREAS that portion of Sprague Street petitioned to be vacated is not
as desirable a location for a right-of-way as the property to be acquired from
the said petitioners,
NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS:
Section 1. That the time for hearing the said petition for the said
petition for the vacation of that portion of Sprague Street located between Lots
35, 369 37 and 38 of Block 81 in the City of Edmonds and Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 of
Block 80 in the City of Edmonds be and the same is hereby set for the 19th day
of August, 1952,
Section 2. That the City Clerk shall give twenty (20) days notice of the
pendency of the petition by a written notice posted in three (3) of the most
public places in the City of Edmonds, to wit: the bulletin board in the City
Hall, the door of the City Library, and the bulletin board in the City Post
Office, and a like notice in a conspicuous place on that portion of Sprague
Street sought to be vacated.
