RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of May, 1954, Mr. W. W. Womer, the City
Treasurer of the City of Edmonds, passed away, and
WHEREAS, for many years past he has been interested in City affairs,
serving on the City Council, in the Street and Water Departments, on the Fire
Department, and for the past eight years he has served as the City Treasurer of
the City of Edmonds, and
WHEREAS, in all of his contacts and work with the City he has shown
diligence, honesty, integrity, and civic interest and pride in his work, and
WHEREAS, the City Officials of the City of Edmonds desired to put in a
permanent and fitting form a memorial resolution commemorating this unselfish
service,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That W. W. Womer be commemorated by this Resolution for
all of the virtues which made him the type of City Officer and employee whose work
stands as a monument to his life of service.
Section 2. That a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the
Council book and incorporated as a permanent record therein.
Section 3. That a copy of this Resolution be published on the front page of
the Edmonds Tribune -Review so that the citizens of the community can be made
aware of the high regard and esteem which the City Officials of the City of Edmonds
held for W. W. Womer.
Section 4. That a copy of this Resolution be sent to Bertha Womer, widow
of W. W. Womer.
