Resolution 017RESOLUTION NO. 17 WHEREAS, on the 13th day of July, 1954, a contract for the installation of a sanitary sewer system under L.I.D. #74 was entered into by and between Thorburn and Logozo as the contractors and the City of Edmonds, and WHEREAS, the said contractor asked for permission to assign the said contract as collateral security for a loan from the National Bank of Commerce of Seattle, a banking corporation, and WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds had no objection to said assign- ment and would consent to the same provided the City would assume no liability or responsibility in the event a certain payment went directly to the contractor instead of to the assignee, National Bank of Commerce of Seattle, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the assignment of the contract between the City of Edmonds and Thorburn and Logozo for the installation of sanitary sewers in the City of Edmonds under L.I.D. #74 be and the same is hereby consented to. IT IS FURTHER, RESOLVED that the City of Edmonds expressly refuses to accept any liability or responsibility for any payments that may be made in error or otherwise to the contractor instead of to the assignee, National Bank of Commerce of Seattle.
