Resolution 022RESOLUTION NO. WHEREAS., SPROULE A. McGINNESS has diligently served as a councilman on the Edmonds City Council since 1946, and WHEREAS, during the time so spent he has devoted a great deal of time, effort and ingenuity to the tasks assigned to him as a result of his office, and WHEREAS much of the time so spent was as chairman of the Street Committee of the City Council, and the majority of im- provements made during that period of time can be traceable, at least in a good parts to his diligent efforts to improve the City, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds and the officers and employees of the said City, together with many of the citizens, feel that there should be a fitting commenda- tion for the time so spent by an interested and devoted citizen, with little pay and sometimes criticism as his only reward for such efforts, and WHEREAS,, it was felt by the said City Council, officers and employees that a permanent record of the commendation be made, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Edmonds City Council, together with the officers, employees and citizens of Edmonds, hereby commend SPROULE A. McGINNESS:for the fine work which he has done during his several terms as City Council- mein. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council meeting of June 7., 1.955s which is the council meeting immediately succeeding the end of Mr. McGinness' official term. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be furnished to the said SPROULE A. McGINNESS and an additional copy be given to the "Edmonds Tribune -Review" for publication, in order that the citizens of Edmonds might be made aware of the high esteem and respect which its City Officials and Councilmen hold for the said SPROULE A.
