Resolution 036 ARESOLUTION NO. ?
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council of
the City of Edmonds that approximately 45 acres of property having a seven
hundred foot, sandy, non -poke ted beach, located in the area known as Keeny's
Gulch, in Snohomish County, is available and may be acquired for a park sit e,
and
WHEREAS, it is the understanding of the Council that if suf -
ficient interest is shown the County Commissioners will place on the General
Election Ballot in November, 1958, a proposition creating Snohomish County
Metropolitan Park District No. 1, and
WHEREAS, it is felt that such a park would be beneficial to
the residents of Snohomish Count y and to the healt h and welfare of its cit i-
zens,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Edmonds:
That the City Council of the City of Edmonds favors the ac-
quisition of the salt water park site, consisting of approximately 45 acres
with seven hundred feet of sandy beach, in the area kaown as Keeny's Gulch.
