WHEREAS, JUDGE RAY H. DOTY has diligently served as Police
Judge and Justice of the Peace in the City of Edmonds since January, 1937
and prior thereto worked for and served the City of Edmonds in various capa-
cities for a number of years, and
WHEREAS, during the time so spent JUDGE DOTY has been dili-
gent and has devoted a great deal of time and effort to the performance of 1i s
duties as Police Judge, Justice of the Peace, and former City employee, and

WHEREAS, JUDGE DOTY is retiring, effective January 1st, 1959,
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Edmonds
feel that there should be a fitting commendation for one who has applied him-
self so diligently to the performance of his duties, and
WHEREAS, it was felt by the said Mayor and City Council that a
permanent record of such commendation should be made,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HERESY RESOLVED that the Mayor
and the City Council of the City of Edmonds hereby commend JUDGE RAY H.
DOTY for the fine job he has done during his several terms as Police Judge
and Justice of the Peace for the City of Edmonds, and on behalf of the citizens
of Edmonds extend their best wishes to JUDGE DOTY and his wife, and hope
that they may spend many more years as residents of Edmonds.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this- Resolution be
spread upon the minutes of the Council Meeting of December 2nd, 19 58, and
that a copy of this Resolution he given to JUDGE RAY H. DOTY.

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a .copy of this Resolution be given
to the Edmonds. Tribune -Review for publication, in order that the citizens of
Edmonds might be made aware of thin expression of gratitude for the faithful
and Valuable services rendered by the said JUDGE RAY R. DOTY.
