A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR THE REPAIR OF CERTAIN SIDEWALK AREAS IN THE
CITY OF EDMONDS, SETTING COMMENCEMENT AND COMPLETION DATES THERE -
FORE, STATING THAT SUCH REPAIRS SHALL BE PAID FOR BY THE ABUTTING
PROPERTY OWNER, ESTABLISHING A SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION FUND NO. 1,
AND SETTING A HEARING DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds has determined that the
T sidewalk abutting on property in the City of Edmonds, Snohomish County, Washington,
more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of Dayton Street and Fourth Avenue, in
the City of Edmonds, and continuing thence north 120 feet along the
westerly side of Fourth Avenue;
in the interest of the health, welfare and safety of the citizens of Edmonds, must be
repaired, and
WHEREAS, the abutting property owner should be required to repair the
said sidewalk at his own cost and expense, and
WHEREAS, the repair of said sidewalk should be commenced on or before
the 1 day of 1959, and completed on or before the ay of

WHEREAS, if such repair is not commenced and completed within the time
specified, the City of Edmonds will repair the said sidewalk and assess the cost against
the abutting property owner, IVAN C. DAY, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that a time and place he fixed for a hearing on
this Resolution,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDMONDS:
Section 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Edmonds
to require the repair of the sidewalk abutting upon the following described property,
located in the City of Edmonds, Snohomish County, State of Washington, to -wit:
Commencing at the intersection of Dayton Street and Fourth Avenue,
in the City of Edmonds, and continuing thence north 120 feet along the
westerly side of Fourth Avenue;
in accordance with city standards.

Section 2. That the owner of the abutting property, IVAN C. DAY, shall
be required to repair the said sidewalk and curb at his own cost and expense, and
that such repairs shall be commenced not later than 0 �, 1959, and

completed on or before the _yj day of n 1959.
Section 3. That in the event the said repairs are not commenced and
completed within the time specified, the Cityof Edmonds will repair the said side
walk and curb and assess the cost of such repair against the abutting property owner,
IVAN C. DAY.
Section 4. A sidewalk construction fund to be known as Sidewalk Construc-
tion Fund No. 1 shall be established, for payment of the costs of such repair, to which
fund the city may advance as a loan from any available funds the amounts necessary
to pay any costs of the said sidewalk repair. When assessment is made against the
abutting property owner for repayment of the cost of such repair, payments therefor
shall be paid into the said sidewalk cors trL ction fund No. 1, and from such payments
any funds available over the amounts necessary to pay outstanding warrants shall be
used for the repayment of any advances or loans made to such sidewalk construction
fund.
Section 5. All persons who may desire to object to the improvement herein
mentioned are hereby notified to appear at the Council Chambers in the City Hall, in
the City of Edmonds, Washington, at a meeting of the said Council, on the /-
day of , 1959, at the hour of 8:00 o'clockp.m. of said day, then and
