WHEREAS, WILLIAM LAMBE has diligently served as a
Councilman on the Edmonds City Council since 1958, and
WH E RE A S 9 during the time so spent he has devoted a great
deal of time, effort and ingenuity to the tasks assigned to him as a result
of his office, and
W HE RE A S , much of the time so spent was as Chairman of
the Park Board of the City Council, and the majority of Park improve-
ments made during that period of time can be traced, at least in good
part, to his diligent efforts to improve the City, and
WH E REAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds and the
officers and employees of the said City, together with many of its citi-
zens, feel that there should be a fitting commendation for the time so
spent by an interested and devoted citizen, with little pay and sometimes
criticism as his only reward for such efforts, and
WH E R E A S, it was felt by the said City Council, officers,
and employees that a permanent record of the commendation be made,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the
Edmonds City Council, together with the officers, employees and citi-
zens of Edmonds, hereby commend WILLIAM LAMBE for the fine work
which he has done during his several terms as City Councilman.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be
spread upon the Minutes of the Council meeting of June 19th, 1962.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be
furnished to the said WILLIAM LAMBE and an additional copy be given
to the 'Edmonds Tribune -Review" for publication, in order that the citi-
zens of Edmonds might be made aware of the high esteem and respect
which its City Officials and Councilmen hold for the said WILLIAM LAMBE.
