WHEREAS, there exists the worst emergency ever seen on our
highway system between Seattle and Everett on U. S. #99 and immediate
relief is absolutely essential if the rise in accidents and fatalities
is to be halted, and
WHEREAS, this condition exists at a time when 33.6 million is
available for stepped up oonstruotion purposes in areas of critical
traffic congestions
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED DY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EDMONDS that we urge the Governor and Highway Director to
take necessary, immediate, and emergency measures as may be appropriate
to complete this part of the Freeway at the earliest possible date and
give this section the number one priority until it is completed.
