Resolution 091RESOLUTION NO 91
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a com-
munity accord public recognition for outstanding public service
rendered by individual citizens, and
WHEREAS, ALFRED G. SIMPSON has diligently served as
Councilman on the Edmonds City Council, and
WHEIMAS, in pursuance of said duties, and in addition
to said duties, he has served as a member of the planning Com-
mission, and on the Water Organization and Finance Committees
of said City Council, and served as Chairman of the Civic Center
Committee,
WHEREAS, during the time so spent Cdr. Simpson has devoted
himself unselfishly, and with only token remuneration, to the
spirit of bettering the community which he has so painstakingly
served, and
WHE? 5, the City Council of the City of "'Edmonds, and
the officers and employees and many of the citizens of said City,
deem it only fitting that a commendation should be issued here-
with for the time and effort so spent by Air. Simpson, and that
said commendation should be made a part of the permanent records
of the City of Edmonds,
NOW, THEREFOR, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Edmonds
City Council, together with the officers, employees and citizens
of Edmonds, hereby commend ALFRED G. SIMPSON for his untiring
efforts, and excellence in his endeavors, on behalf of said City,
and,
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVES that a copy of this 'Resolution
be furnished to the said ALFRED G. SIMPSON, and an additional
copy be entered in the permanent records of the City of Edmonds
in order that the citizens of Edmonds might be made aware of the
high esteem and respect in which he is held.
