A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS:,
WASHINGTON, RATIFYING AN AGREEMENT FOR
JOINT USE OF SANITARY SEWERAGE FACILITIES
BY THE CITIES OF EDMONDS AND LYNNWOOD.,
WASHINGTON.
WHEREAS, the City of Lynnwood, Washington owns and
is presently operating a system of tkunk sewers, a sewage
treatment plant and a deep water outfall line, and
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds, Washington, has within
its corporate boundaries certain sections that naturally drain
or by pumping can be economically made to drain into the sys-
tem of trunk sewers and thence :to the treatment and disposal
facilities now owned and operated by Lynnwood, and
WHEREAS, the best interests of the residents of
Edmonds and Lynnwood require that those certain trunk sewers,
treatment facility and outfall line be operated and maintained
for their mutual benefit as provided herein, and
WHEREAS, the administrative and legislative bodies
of said Cities have negotiated a contract to carry out the
best interests of the residents of said Cities, providing
for the operation, maintenance, joint use and the payment
therefor, of those certain sewerage works facilities to be
jointly used, and defining the rights, duties, and obligations,
of the parties therein, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RESOLVES
that that certain agreement, entitled, "Agreement for Joint
Use of Sanitary Sewerage Facilities, Trunks -Treatment -Disposal,"
dated on the day of August, 1965, and signed by the Mayors
of the City of Edmonds and the City of Lynnwood, be and the
same hereby is ratified, approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Edmonds, Washington.

Washington this 3 day of August, 1965.
