A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
AUTHORIZING A LONG & SHORT ACCOUNT
FOR UTILITY ACCOUNTS
WHEREAS, the Division of Municipal Corporations
of the State Auditor's Office recognizes that it is a gener-
ally accepted accounting practice to establish a long and
short account in large volume -small -denomination accounts, and
WHEREAS, the auditor assigned to audit the accounts
of the Water Department in the City of Edmonds has recommended
the establishment and use of such account, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE:
That there be established a long and short account
in the Water Department in the City of Edmonds, Washington,
which account shall be closed at the end of each fiscal year.
