Resolution 124RESOLUTION NO. f A RESOLUTION of the City of Edmonds, Washington, commending ANITA BUSCH for her services to said City and the citizens thereof. WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a community award public recognition for outstanding public service rendered by individual citizens, and WHEREAS, sincerity of purpose and duty is often reflected by length of service, and WHEREAS, on the lst day of January, of the year 1936 ANITA BUSCH commenced serving the City of Edmonds, and the citizens thereof, following the path of her father before her, and WHEREAS, said service dutifully abided longer than any other public servant of the City of Edmonds, for a period of thirty years, in which time said City grew twenty-five fold, and WHEREAS, on the 31st day of December of the year 1965, ANITA BUSCH voluntarily retired, to the regret of her peers, all who admired her devotion to service, and her personally, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds and the officers and employees of said City deem it only fitting that a commendation should be issued herewith for the service so spent by ANITA BUSCH, which service continues in part through her daughter whose tenure of service with said City is exceeded by only one, and WHEREAS, said commendation should be made a part of the permanent records of said City, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Edmonds, Washington that ANITA BUSCH be hereby commended for her untiring efforts and excellence in service on behalf of the said City and its citizens, and BE IT FURTHER resolved that a copy of this Resolution be furnished to the said ANITA BUSCH and an additional copy be entered in the permanent records of this City in order that the citizens be forever aware of the high esteem and respect in which ANITA BUSCH has been, is and will be held.
