A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
COMMENDING CALVIN C. THOMPSON FOR HIS SERVICES TO
SAID CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a commu-
nity award public recognition for outstanding public service
rendered by individual citizens, and
WHEREAS, CALVIN C. THOMPSON, has served the City of
Edmonds, and the citizens thereof as a member of the Planning
Commission for the last four years, and
WHEREAS, said CALVIN C. THOMPSON's term has expired and
he has expressed the desire that he retire without re -appoint-
ment on said Planning Commission to the regret of his associates
and contemporaries all of whom have admired his devotion to
service and him personally, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds and
the officers and employees of said City deem it only fitting
that commendation should be issued herewith for the service
so spent by CALVIN C. THOMPSON, and
WHEREAS, said commendation should be made a part of the
permanent records of said City, now, therefore,
BE IT.RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, that CALVIN C. THOMPSON be hereby commended for his
untiring efforts and excellence in the service on behalf of
the said City and its citizens, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution
be furnished to the said CALVIN C. THOMPSON and an additional
copy be entered in the permanent records of this City in
order that the citizens be forever aware of the high esteem
and respect in which CALVIN C. THOMPSON has been, is and will be
held.
