A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDSa WASHINGTON
COMMENDING HERMAN SATER FOR HIS SERVICES TO
SAID CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF.
WHEREAS., it is appropriate and desirable that a community
award public recognition for outstanding public service ren-
dered by individual citizens, and
WHEREAS:, HERMAN SATER, has diligently served the City of
Edmonds, and the citizens thereof, for a period of time in
excess of ten years as a member of the Planning Commission
during a period of time when the Planning Commission made its
most comprehensive study and projected the development for the
City of Edmonds for the years to come, and
WHEREAS, HERMAN SATER, voluntarily retired from his posi-
tion on the Planning Commission, much to the regret of his
fellow city officials, and
WHEREAS* HERMAN SATER, thereafter, and at the request
of the City of Edmonds, accepted an appointment to the Board
of Adjustment in which capacity he further served the needs
of the City of Edmonds and the citizens thereof, and
WHEREASa during the time so spent, HERMAN SATER, has
devoted himself unselfishly and without remuneration to the
spirit of bettering the community in which he has so pain-
stakingly served, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, and
the officers and employees of said City deem it only fitting
that a commendation should be issued herewith for the time and
effort so spent by HERMAN SATER and that said commendation
should be made a part of the permanent records of said City
of Edmonds, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,®
WASHINGTON.*, that HERMAN SATER, be hereby commended for his
unselfish dedication to the City of Edmonds and the citizens
thereof and for his guidance for the future and better devel-
opment of said City, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be
furnished to the said HERMAN SATER and an additional copy be
entered in the permanent records of this City in order that the
citizens be forever aware of the high esteem and respect in
which HERMAN SATER has been, is and will be held forevermore.
RESOLVED by the City Council this 5th day of December,1967.
