A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS* WASHINGTON
COMMENDING HOWARD "BUD" OLDS FOR HIS SERVICES
TO SAID CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable that a commu-
nity award public recognition for outstanding public service
rendered by individual citizens, and
WHEREAS, said HOWARD "BUD" OLDS has diligently served
the City of Edmonds, and the citizens thereof, as a member
of the City Council and as a member of the auditing committee
thereof, and
WHEREAS, HOWARD "BUD" OLDS voluntarily retired from his
position as a member of the Edmonds City Council much to the
regret of his fellow city officials and
WHEREAS, during the time so spent, HOWARD "BUD" OLDS
has devoted himself unselfishly to the spirit of bettering
the community in which he has so painstakingly served, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City..of Edmonds, and
the officers and employees of said City deem it only fitting
that a commendation should be issued herewith for the time and
effort so spent by HOWARD "BUD" OLDS and that said commenda-
tion should be made a part of the permanent records of said
City of Edmonds, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS4,
WASHINGTON, that HOWARD "BUD" OLDS, be hereby commended for
his unselfish dedication to the City of Edmonds and the citi-
zens thereof and for his guidance for the future and better
development of said City, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution
be furnished to the said HOWARD "BUD" OLDS and an additional
copy be entered in the permanent records of this City in
order that the citizens be forever aware of the high esteem
and respect in which HOWARD "BUD" OLDS has been, is and will
be held forevermore.
RESOLVED by the City Council this 6th Day of February, 1968.
