A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
COMMENDING JACK S. BEVAN FOR HIS SERVICES TO
SAID CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF.
WHEREAS,_ it is appropriate and desirable that a community
award public recognition for outstanding public service ren-
dered by individual citizens, and
WHEREAS, J, CK S. BEVAN, has served as member of the City
Council of the City of Edmonds., and on the street committee
thereof, and has in addition thereto served as ex -officio
member of the Planning Commission, and further gave of his
time by attending all Port Commission meetings, and
WHEREAS,,. during the time so spent, JACK S. BEVAN, has
devoted himself unselfishly and almost without remuneration
to the spirit of bettering the community in which he has so
painstakingly served, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, and
the officers and employees of said City deem it only fitting
that a commendation should be issued herewith for the time
and effort so spent by JACK S. BEVAN and that said commenda-
tion should be made a part of the permanent records of said
City of Edmonds, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS*
WASHINGTON:, that JACK S. BEVAN, be hereby commended for his
unselfish dedication to the City of Edmonds and the citizens
thereof and for his guidance for the future and better devel-
opment of said City, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be
furnished to the said JACK S. BEVAN and an additional copy
be entered in the permanent records of this City in order that
the citizens be forever aware of the high esteem and respect
that JACK S. BEVAN has been, is and will be held forevermore.
RESOLVED by the City Council this 6th day of February, 1968.
