A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS# WASHINGTON
COMMENDING HAROLD "BABE" BUCKLIN FOR HIS SERVICES TO
SAID CITY AND THE CITIZENS THEREOF.
WHEREASs it is appropriate and desirable that a commu-
nity award public recognition for outstanding public service
rendered by individual citizens, and
WHEREAS9, HAROLD "BABE" BUCKLIN has diligently served the
City of Edmonds, and the citizens thereof, for a period of
time in excess of twelve_: years as a member and chairman of
the Civil Service Commission during a period of time when
the uniformed personnel of said City increased many fold in
numbers, responsibility and accomplishment, and
WHEREASt during the time so spent, HAROLD "BABE" BUCKLIN
has devoted himself unselfishly and without remuneration to
the spirit of bettering the community in which he has so pain-
stakingly served,, and
WHEREAS, HAROLD "BABE" BUCKLIN,, voluntarily retired from
his position on the Planning Commission= much to the regret
of his fellow city officials, and
WHEREAS* the City Council of the City of Edmonds, and
the officers and employees of said City deem it only fitting
that a commendation should be issued herewith for the time
and effort so spent by HAROLD "BABE" BUCKLIN and that said
commendation should be made a part of the permanent records
of said City of Edmonds, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS9
WASHINGTON, that HAROLD "BABE" BUCKLIN.. be hereby commended
for his unselfish dedication to the City of Edmonds and the
citizens thereof and for his guidance for the future and better
development of said City, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be
furnished to the said HAROLD "BABE" BUCKLIN and an additional
copy be entered in the permanent records of this City in order
that the citizens be forever aware of the high esteem and res-
pect in which HAROLD "BABE" BUCKLIN has been, is and will be
held forevermore.
RESOLVED by the City Council this 6th day of February, 1968.
